We're heading down to the Barbican on the 21st to see the latest offering from the Boy blue Dance crew, the last one was amazing, so much talent and pure effortless style, I gotta be honest I went home after seeing the last one and threw down some dance moves hoping I might of learnt something by watching, no chance, I was terrible. Best left to the professionals, speaking of which the show features Negrete Models, Nadia Sohawon and Kofi Mingu, you'll be seeing more of them very soon here, until then go support UK underground talent.

Ranjit Doroszkiewicz , has just had a bunch of his pictures featured in the Telegraph , some of the photography he's shown me over the years has really blown me away, go check it out, hope you like it (choi oi Ranj!)

So what right?!?, its just a ~~Donkey~~ Mountain goat, Ibex actually, (please see the negrete logo) walking up a ladder and across a tight rope with a monkey just chilling on his back with one eye on the rope and one on his friendly master who is ready to poke him with a sharp pointy possibly electrified stick at any given moment, its no big deal, then oh I’ll just change direction with my large frame, monkey on my back and 4 legs n head back to the middle of the rope, I’ll just stand on a really really small ball on the rope and then maybe the well dressed monkey can just do a hand stand on my head yeah? Exactly.... Nothing special,

Hopefully you guys know the work of Keith "Guru" Elam, the MC for legendary Brooklyn jazz-tinged hip-hop duo Gangstarr, died Monday April 19 after a year-long battle with cancer. I, like alot of the gang here at Negrete grew up listening to these guys, amazing monotone voice twined with such well crafted classic beats, I was hoping for another banging album from the duo but sadly thats not possible anymore but do yourselves a big favour and go get some of the early albums, (Hard to earn is unbeatable) ditch 90% of todays jokeshop rap and listen to something that will make your head nod and remember when hip hop was at its best.

Today's music world can be a murky mix of over-hyped corporate weakness, and fly by night chancers.

That's why Negrete are here to help slice through the rubbish and un-polish some gems.

This is where the Hard Knock family come to the fore. They've been doing their underground thing in the UK for years, and they've released their first compilation CD.
